Finding True Success in Your Life Requires a PLAN

You might have dreams and aspirations for your life, but if you don’t have a plan to accomplish these goals, it is not going to be easy. It is like going on a long journey in an unknown country. If you don’t have a map, you are going to take a lot of unnecessary detours along the way.

In his whitepaper, Strategies for Success, John Spence provides a powerful message. During his lifetime, he has owned and operated many different companies, but at one point he realized that he wanted his life to get better. Therefore, he embarked on a quest to become an expert on success.

In his whitepaper, Mr. Spence describes what a plan truly entails. He mentions a PLAN model created by Tom Morris, the author of True Success. This model is outlined below.

• Prepare for the Journey: It is crucial that you take the time to “analyze, visualize, prioritize and strategize.” Basically, you need to become an expert in success. Think about the aspirations you have for your life. Success is not something that just happens – you have to study and prepare.
• Launch into Action: In life, there are the “doers” and the “talkers” or as Mr. Spence describes it, “people who watch things happen and people who make things happen.” You are responsible for your own destiny and if you want things to change, you need to take action.
• Adjust as You Go: Unexpected things happen. It is just the way of life. Don’t be surprised when something that you hadn’t planned for occurs. You need to be flexible and make adjustments along your journey to success.
• Network with Those Who Know: Surround yourself with people who already know what you need to learn. Look for people with experience and knowledge that they can share with you. You want to spend your time with those who want to see you succeed. It is a whole lot easier when you have a team of people on your side.
